Information you give us
If you use the contact form, we receive the message, the name you choose to provide, your email address and your selected topic. The message is stored in the website's database for our team to read and respond to. Please do not submit passwords, payment details, medical records or other sensitive information through this form. If you use the product finder, the terms you enter may be processed to generate recommendations and may be sent to the external services used to provide that function.
Technical and usage data
Like many websites, our hosting service can process standard technical information such as IP address, browser details, requested URLs and request timestamps for performance, security and troubleshooting. BuyingView also has site-usage and affiliate-click measurement functions. We may record how visitors navigate articles or use site features, and which retailer links are followed, to evaluate and improve the site. Some site functions use cookies or similar browser storage, including restricted owner-session cookies.
Advertising cookies and Google
BuyingView participates in affiliate advertising and has applied to Google AdSense. If Google advertising code runs on pages, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to BuyingView or other sites. Affiliate links and retailers
Clicking an Amazon or other external shopping link takes you to a separate website, which may collect its own information or use its own cookies. Some links contain the BuyingView Amazon Associates tracking ID so qualifying purchases can be attributed to this publication. Check each retailer's privacy notice before providing personal information or completing a purchase.
Why information is processed
Information is used to operate the website, answer inquiries, detect abuse, understand site performance, improve editorial and recommendation features and, where enabled, measure eligible affiliate or advertising activity. We use third-party infrastructure or service providers when needed for those functions. Their processing is subject to their respective terms and applicable law.
How long contact messages are kept
Contact inquiries are stored so our team can review and respond. We may retain messages for follow-up, security or recordkeeping until they are no longer needed. You can request deletion using the contact form. We do not ask for payment information through this form.
Your choices and privacy requests
You may choose not to submit a message, avoid external retailer links or change browser cookie settings. Advertising choices are available through Google Ads Settings and industry opt-out tools. To ask about information you submitted, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, use the contact form and select “Privacy request.” We may need to verify a request before fulfilling it.
Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
Where legally required, advertising cookies and personal-data processing are subject to consent and other applicable protections. A standard site banner alone is not a substitute for a certified advertising consent management platform. Once AdSense advertising is enabled, BuyingView's publisher account must use an appropriate Google-certified CMP for applicable EEA, UK and Swiss traffic.
